It’s been 25 years since this tragic event which has since resulted in the Australian state placing extensive restrictions on gun laws, and a buy-back scheme was initiated in which over 643,000 firearms were handed back which cost the government around $350 million. The country no longer allows adults to purchase any type of firearm without a license.
